Welcome to Bida Digital’s newsletter #6! Each week I will share one insight for each one of Bida’s four pillars: Website Development, Marketing, Communications & Event Management.
Website Development: Don’t Let Perfect Be The Enemy of Good
A functional site is better than no site!

Many people delay launching their website because they want it to be flawless. But a functional, well-structured site that clearly communicates your message is far more valuable than one that never gets published. If you’re a music therapist, having a simple site with your bio, services, and contact info is already a strong foundation. You can always refine it over time based on feedback and real-world use.
Marketing: Set Meaningful Objectives
Having SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely) objetives makes a difference!
Last week’s tip was to create a G.O.S.T. plan for your marketing. Let’s look specifically at objectives.
Marketing without SMART Objectives leads to wasted effort. Instead of just aiming to “get more followers,” define specific, meaningful objectives—like getting 5 new music therapy clients or securing 3 more workshop bookings. If your objective is to educate healthcare professionals about music therapy, focus on content strategies that position you as a trusted resource. Clear objectives will guide your strategy and make your efforts measurable.

Communications: Leverage Video to Share Your Thoughts on Music Therapy
It is now easier than ever to communicate with the world about music therapy.

Video is one of the most engaging ways to communicate your ideas. A short clip explaining how you use music therapy in dementia care or a recorded reflection on a recent session can resonate deeply with your audience. Whether it’s a professional video or a simple phone recording, sharing your insights in a personal and direct way builds trust and connects you with potential clients or collaborators.
Event Planning: Give People Plenty of Time to Register
Don’t be like me waiting till the last minute!
I recently put together a small online event to talk about what music therapy is in spanish. Unfortunately I did not have much time to promote it and did not have a great turnout.
If you’re hosting a webinar on music therapy techniques or an in-person workshop, don’t wait until the last minute to promote it. People need time to plan, especially if they have to secure funding, request time off, or prepare materials. Start spreading the word well in advance, send reminders, and provide clear information about what attendees will gain. A well-structured registration period can lead to a stronger turnout and better engagement.

That’s it for this newsletter! I would love to know what kind of content you would want to hear more about, so feel free to reply to this email and let me know. And if you need assistance with implementing any of these tips, feel free to also reach out!
Warmly,
