As Professor Emeritus from Montclair State University and a retired faculty member from the University of Louisville, Dr. Wheeler has been active in music therapy for decades. She has held faculty positions in Germany and Poland and has examined students’ work at universities around the world. Barbara has edited and written key texts, served as president of the American Music Therapy Association, and received lifetime achievement awards recognizing her contributions to the profession.
